Ink was firstused in ancient Egypt, and it was made from a
mixture of soot and water. This ink was used to write on
papyrus, which was a type of paper that was made from the
papyrus plant. The ink would quickly fade, and it was not
very durable.
Ink was later used in China, and it was made from a mixture
of lampblack and glue. This ink was much more durable than
the ink that was used in ancient Egypt, and it was used to
write on silk.
India also had their own type of ink, which was made from
soot and vegetable dyes.
